Bento workshop Netherlands

Bentō is originally lunchbox in Japanese style. In Japan, many people make bento at home and take it to school or work. In this workshop you can learn how to make Japanese traditional bento. (Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours). More examples see my Instagram. About Kyaraben (a detailed arranged bento consisting of decorated food looks like anime or manga characters), check Kyaraben workshop. Max 10 people at my place. For more than 12 people, see groups.

- For less than 10 people, the location is at my place in Utrecht.

- Bento workshop on location, I charge another 2 hours for preparation time at € 20 to € 40.00 per hour (incl. 21% VAT), and travel expence to your location. Workshop at my place in Utrecht, no travel and preparation costs are charged.

* Changes in the number of participants can be communicated up to three working days before the workshop. Because the purchase of the ingredients.

In the unlikely event that someone is unable to participate due to illness or other circumstances on the day of workshop; The price is based on the number of participants registered at the time of 3 days before the workshop. However presented participants can make extra bento and take it for the absentee.

Makunouchi bento workshop

Makunouchi bento is a popular type of Japanese bento. The word makuno-uchi bento ("between-act bento"), dates back to the Edo period (1603 - 1867), when they were served during the intermissions (Maku-ma) of Noh and Kabuki theater performances. Makunouchi bento often contains more items and costs more than other bento. Due to make many more dishes, takes more time and cost than standard bento workshop.

Onigiri Bento workshop

Onigiri is currently a trend. However, to actually make onigiri and skillfully pack them in a lunchbox, techniques are necessary. In this workshop, you will learn how to make onigiri, some side dishes, and the efficient ways to arrange them.
